About me

Hi, I'm Barbara, a Speech and Language Pathologist born and raised in Sardinia (Italy), where I began my journey in the world of speech therapy. I earned my bachelor's degree in 2013 from the University of Cagliari. Since then, I have embarked on my career in private practice and gained experience in both public and private rehabilitation clinics. I furthered my education in Rome, achieving a master's degree in Rehabilitation Sciences of Health Professions and then a first-level Master's in Neuropsychology of Developmental Age.

Since 2020, I have dedicated myself to Teletherapy, with the aim of providing consultations, assessments, and speech therapy treatments remotely to all patients who are unable to receive face-to-face treatments.

Since 2021, I have also been involved in creating digital resources and training courses for Teletherapy, aimed at all professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge in this area.

My professional experience

Work experience in the Speech and Therapy field

SLP Private Practice

Since January 2014

Since January 2014, I have been practicing as an independent Speech Therapist in Sardinia. I deal with the prevention, assessment, and treatment of the main communication and language disorders in children, adults, and the elderly. Since 2020, I have dedicated myself to Tele-therapy, with the aim of providing consultations, assessments, and speech therapy treatments remotely to all patients who are unable to receive face-to-face treatments.

Since 2021, I have also been involved in creating digital resources and training courses for Tele-therapy, aimed at all professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge in this area.

SLP at Centro Phare Psyché

January 2014 - November 2022

Since January 2014, I have been practicing as a Speech Therapist at the Phare Psyché Center in the city of Cagliari. Within a multidisciplinary team, I am involved in:

Diagnostic evaluation of language and school learning.
Speech therapy treatment for the main Neurodevelopmental Disorders (SLD, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Language Impairment, etc.).

January 2015 - June 2016

For more than a year, I collaborated with the social cooperative La Cometa in the municipality of Serrenti, focusing on home speech therapy treatment for communication and language disorders in children.

March 2014 - June 2015

For more than a year, I collaborated with the San Biagio Center, a neuropsychomotor rehabilitation center associated with the ATS-ASSL of Cagliari, focusing on the assessment and treatment of communication and language disorders in children, adults, and the elderly.
